The Fireball Junior Tennis Program is genuinely unique to Fireball Tennis. Two years ago, Fireball came up with the concept that the pivotal determinants to a successful junior tennis program is to establish a vision of what you want to achieve, and then plan and implement strategies accordingly to achieve this goal.

Our vision is to encourage and assist every child that becomes part of Fireball Tennis to achieve their highest potential both on and off the tennis court. All our programs are geared towards achieving this through incorporating a more holistic tennis coaching curriculum, with the prevalence of non tennis specific skills such as self esteem, respect, general coordination, general athletic abilities, and embracing a healthy and active lifestyle evident. Furthermore, Fireball Tennis’s programs have been devised strategically to sequentially move from one program to another program right up to the culmination of Fireball Tennis’s Pro Tour Program. This provides kids beginning tennis with a clear and sequential pathway from beginning tennis to elite tennis.

Through being part of tennis for the past twenty years as a player and a coach I have never experienced an academy that comes close to the way Fireball Tennis utilises Tennis to provide their students with extraordinary events. This stems from our belief that tennis has no limitations to what it can provide for its participants.

Sstudents at Fireball Tennis have experienced playing tennis tournaments in the Gold Coast, Alice Springs and Melbourne Park, went to the Australian Open as a group and met and had a photo with World Number 5 Robin Soderling and Grand Slam Champion Justine Henin, and experienced playing on the show courts at Melbourne Park (home of the Australian Open).

In 2011 there are trips planned to America to raise awareness of the opportunities tennis has in providing College Scholarships, trips to Gold Coast, Alice Springs, Northern New South Wales and Bali to play in tournaments, and the Meet & Great Tennis Superstar Day is back again. Also the Australian Open experiences are back again available for all Fireball Tennis students.

All Fireball Tennis Coaches are qualified, experienced, fully insured and have current Working with Children and Police Checks

This is due to our recruiting strategy and policy where we are only interested in prospective coaches that have a strong interest in teaching tennis. We don’t entertain hiring university students that look at tennis coaching as an easy way to make some spare pocket money. We are more interested in teaching and developing coaches that are passionate about tennis, and want to pass this on to others. Once hired a prospective coach will undertake a vigorous coaching apprenticeship which is combined with practical work experience and undertake Tennis Australia’s Junior Development and Club Professional Coaching Course.
